Miles and I are huge movie fans, and between the two of us have quite a collection. Now because of our situation being in Virginia for such a short period of time, we left most of our movies back in Michigan in storage. But the good news is that we are living right next door to a movie theater that has $4.00 movies on Sundays and Saturdays, so need less to say Miles and I have seen quite a few movies since we have been here already. So here is my review of what we have seen lately.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix:
Of course this movie was awesome, and to be honest it was the last book of the series that I myself read, because it was so long and confusing. But they managed to keep the movie at a short 138 minutes, considering how much happened in the book the story was not broken up to badly. Now if you have small children, I can imagine that it would be little scary, because it gets a little dark, but all in all, we both enjoyed it.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry:
I wanted to see this movie since I first saw the preview, and I am a huge fan of Adam Sandler and Kevin James. It was hilarious, I laughed out loud thru the whole thing. My only complaint would be that Adam Sandler was a Yankee fan in the movie, and we all know that he is from Manchester, NH and is a long time fan of the Red Sox.
Transformers:
Okay to be honest, not a movie I would have picked out, but Miles really wanted to see it and he did go see the Chuck and Larry movie with me. So I went, although I know absolutely nothing about the Transformers story, the movie did a really great job of setting it all up, so even if you were not a fan of them growing up, they movie was still pretty awesome with all the action and special effects.
Last but definitely not least;
The long awaited Simpsons Movie, was definitely worth the wait. It was hilarious, and makes you fall in love with the very yellow family all over again. Now being a Simpsons fan, we know that to pick up on every little joke you have to watch the episodes over and over again, so we can not wait till it comes out of video. I really don't have much to say about it, except if you are a fan even a little bit go see it in the theater. Its really amazing to see them on the big screen.
