Let me start by saying that offically I will not be an Officer's Wife for another 5 weeks, but to be honest I am playing the part. Miles and I have been thru alot since he has joined the army last Octoer. Lets see there was the 9 weeks at basic training in South Carolina (Fort Jackson), and then off to OCS (officer candiate school) for 4 months in Georgia (Fort Benning). Which kind of brings us to where we are now. Miles will be graduating from OSC on April 26th and then he comes home for the wedding on May 4th, then he will be back on a plane May 6th to go to Oklahoma (Fort Lee) for 7 weeks, and then to wrap up his training for 18 weeks in Virginia (Fort Eustace). So as you see we have a long road ahead of us, and like I said I am playing the part. To be honest I am not thrilled of spending the first 6 months of my marriage away from my husband, but as my sister says we all make choices and need to be excepting of them or its all for not. So I guess I will try and make the best of it and hope everything works out.

On another note, Miles did find out this week that we will be stationed in Kentucky (Fort Campbell) for the next 3 years, as for details I am not sure yet how it all works. But I will fill everyone in once I know more. As you can imagine, being in the army and being an officers wife we are all on a need to know bases, which to me means that noone really knows what the other guy is doing. (or something like that). No news yet on whether he will be deployed overseas right away or if he will be at the base in Kentucky for awhile.

Well I guess I will wrap it up with that and I hope everyone enjoys reading.
