Thanksgiving update

Just wanted to let everyone know that i survived cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I had 9 people consisting of friends and family and it was really wonderful. No real problems other then the turkey didnt get very brown and we had a little snafu with the stuffing (mostly that it tasted like wet bread, ewwww) but the boys came to my rescue and went to the store to by some stove top stuffing. It was the fanciest of thanksgiving meals but it was the first one i cooked and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was my first and hopefully my last, i much rather have my mom and sister do the cooking (hint hint for next year). We had a great group join us this and probably our most special guest this year was Miles who made it home just in time. YEAHHHH. We also had Mom and Dad Miller come in for the weekend which was so wonderful to have them here with us and I know Miles was so happy that they could change their plans to be with us. Lets see we also had our next door neighbors, Jenny and Tommy. And Tommy was such a trooper having just got in two days before the festivities. We also had a few of my girlfriends over whos husbands are still deployed and it was so great to have them come over and celebrate with us, Ginger, Tiffany, and Jen. So after a wonderful meal and a few fun games, i would have to say it was a very successful day with lots to be thankful for this year.

Thanks for the update.Looks like your first big dinner turned out well except the dressing. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Jill your table looked beautiful and the turkey looked great as well (don't listen to what Martha says about browning your turkey - all hype...) First year that we didn't share Thanksgiving dinner with you. Missed you and Miles! See you in a few weeks at the Gelman's (can't wait to hold that baby!) Love, Mom
