Yorktown, Virginia

Well Miles and I continued our adventures in Virginia by going to visit the very historic Yorktown. Yorktown is home to a lot of history, including the Civil War and the final battle of the American Revolution. (sorry if my facts are not that accurate). Like most cities and towns that were part of an american history, they have managed to turn it into a way to make money. Everything that was involved in any part of the history of this town has been turned into a chance to turn a buck. Of course this is to be expected, so to make a long story short, we did not get a chance to see everything there, but we did take a walk on the Riverwalk, where there are alot of nice private beaches and a really beautiful view of the river.

They have managed to keep the quaintness to the town, which is a nice change of pace. There is no fast food joints or super centers to ruin the landscape. We also took a quick walk up to the battlefields, and snuck a couple shots of what we could see, they have a bunch of trails that run thru that you can walk. Then we stopped at the Victory Monument as we were leaving, its really beautiful as it over looks the town and the river.

I am not sure where Miles and I are headed next, check back soon to see where Miles drags me next.
